This week, we’re looking for the holy moments in our homes and in our hearts and in our yards and in our neighborhoods.
This is a turtle – a yellow-bellied slider – enjoying the sun.
William Carlos Williams was a doctor and a poet. He wrote a poem about a snapping turtle for his grandson. His poem is little bit scary but you can google it (and maybe get hooked on poetry) if you want. It’s called “The Turtle.”
What sort of poem would you write about a turtle if you saw one enjoying the sun?
