During Advent, we are waiting for something good, something new. We are waiting for Good News! We are preparing for Glad Tidings! But you can learn something new any day. You don’t need to wait to hone a new skill. So pick up an instrument (like a Hohner accordion!). Try a new cookie recipe. Practice your chess game. Stretch your mind past the usual traditions. We know this Advent will look different. What good and new can you imagine?
No matter what they’re doing, the Bells are brilliant. I have only one question arising amidst my awe and pleasure: is the accordion of French origin? Jones looks the part with it, encircling the Eiffel Tower, delighting the tourists.
Oooh, if he practices enough during the pandemic, maybe he can go to Paris. Or Carrboro – the Paris of the Piedmont! I don’t know the accordion’s origin. Going to go do some googling! – B
