We are in the Dog Days of Summer, which leads us briefly to think of Dog Songs instead of God Songs. The Dog Days are so named because the Dog Star Sirius rises brightly in the summer sky. The days are long and hot and the dogs are tired. We might be tired. But the stars still fill us with wonder and hope. What do you feel when you look at the night sky?
