Sesquicentennial

“Sesquicentennial” (a Latin word that is very fun word to say) means 150. You can count by year (annus) or day (diebus) or maybe even rock (saxum). You can also count by psalms! (Check your Book of Common Prayer. There are 150 of them!)

Together with you, we’ve been posting videos – and missing church – for 150 days. That makes today our sesquicentennial diebus. That doesn’t seem like much if you look at 150 grains of rice. It seems like a lot if you’re our neighbor, listening to Greg play “150 Bottles of Beer on the Wall” for fourteen minutes straight.*

No matter how you count the days, we’re glad we’re together with our church family during every one, even when we’re apart.
