Prayer at Home

Prayer at home is just as powerful as prayer at church. It might look different – like chalked names in the street instead of the Prayers of the People read from the center aisle of the sanctuary – but it still brings us closer to God, and to our community, and to those who lift their voices with ours.

Some people call this the “Johnny Appleseed” prayer. Johnny Appleseed was a real person (John Chapman) who introduced apples trees to parts of the United States.
